Starting a grass roots movement?

WHAT IF? It is as simple as giving out pamphlets? And meeting people on the streets - prepared for discussions and debates! But ALSO prepared to de-escalate them to conversations where all parties - ask questions, ready to listen to the answers and to listen to learn!

To talk WITH people, rather than TO people!

Making a Web page or group on social media and hand out pamphlets with a very simple and "easy to digest" / easy to understand - explanation of what we the grassroots want to achieve!

What IF? IT IS! This easy to start a grassroots movement?

Perhaps we should try?

FOR YOU - What is the most important thing to combat that YOU want to start a Grassroots movement to change? What is YOUR essential matter, matter of the heart! The burning question that infuriates you, that leaves you sleepless!

What Grassroots movement DO YOU WANT TO START!

REMEMBER - It is easier if it isn't too abstract, but it is quite concrete!

Like: "Fight poverty and NOT the poor" - rather than: "We should ALL be nicer to each other"…

Here are some of MY matters of the heart:

*  "Fight poverty and NOT the poor", "close the class Chasms and level inequalities"! UNITE and fight Neo-Liberalism!

In Sweden we used to have "Robin Hood taxes/politics": That "took from the rich and gave to the poor"! NOW however - due to Neo-Liberalism, its pretty much the other way round!

Robin Hood taxes/politics makes sense! It's an old basic socialist idea - "

To each according to their NEEDS, from each according to their ABILITY"!

SUCH A SIMPLE - LOGICAL IDEA! So obvious!

So how the fuq could Neo-Liberalism tear most of it down?

I'd LOVE TO SEE a WORLDWIDE LEFTIST GREEN/SOCIALIST MOVEMENT - SWEEP THE WORLD!

There ARE plenty of Allies!

Different left-wing, human rights, feminist, Anti-Fascist, LGBTQIAP - organisations, Workers Unions and other Idealists!

It is just that we are DIVIDED and therefore CONQUERED!

WE MUST UNITE! FIND EACH OTHER AND SEE EACH OTHER, SEE THE STRENGTH WE HAVE - UNITED!

To start a grassroots moment to unite ALL the good idealists forces - is for me - on top of this list!

* Social security, Free health care and education for everyone - A "Welfare State"!

Looking at how Sweden/the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Sweden and many other European countries, but Sweden is what I know) - actually WORKED in the 60's & 70's - it was pretty close to an ideal "Welfare state" - that HAD: "Social security, Free health care and education for EVERYONE" with government controlled: retirement funds, unemployment and health benefits - for all! Regardless of Class, Status or poverty!

Fighting to get ALL OF THIS BACK - is for me a worthy cause! Guaranteed welfare and Social Security for all! Without holes in the system where people fall through the mesh of the social security safety net!

* Human RIGHTS and freedoms! Start a grassroots movement to start up a European Human rights organisation like ACLU - "American Civil Rights Union"!

But OUR "European/(Worldwide?) organisation" - would work to enforce the Human rights declarations of the United Nations and the European Union - rather than the US constitution, that the ACLU works by!

AND also each member countries constitutional laws! Once we HAVE a European Human rights Union/organisation - then we could reach out to UN and EU for cooperation!

* "Reignite/Reboot the Sexual Revolution"! I find it very troublesome that the "Sexual Revolution"  of the 1900's fissled and died out - before it could reach the entire population!

In many ways - Women HAD a liberation from their gender roles and gender stereotypes!

BUT we are still FAR FROM gender equality!

MEN - haven't been liberated from their old, obsolete gender roles and stereotypes!

I believe that this is the source of: "toxic masculinity", Incels and the "red pill men's rights movement", misogyny, misandry and general distrust between genders!

How can we achieve equality in a Patriarchy where half of the population is still burdened by the shackles of history?

The Sexual Revolution wasn't only halted - it was killed and obliterated by Milton Friedman/Reagan/Thatcher/Right Wing Conservative/"Religious" nut jobs that commercialized the naked human body! Turning genitals and mammaries into commodities rather than "just body parts"!

I claim that! Neo-Liberalism killed the Sexual Revolution!

* "Aequitas, Veritas, Egalitas"! Truth, Justice and Egality - isn't THIS - the Priciple - the Axiom that a Participatory Democracy is based upon?

"The government of the People - Power OF the People"!

How can we have a working, open and honest participatory democracy if governments, politicians, the Police and civil servants - secretly - behind the back of the very people who they are supposed to serve are hiding facts, committing crimes, being corrupt and actively trying to make the peoples insight into the so called democracy - obscured or hidden!

Like Watergate, the Snowden/Manning/Assange revelations and many other whistle-blower revealed scandals!

In Sweden the "so called": Social Democratic Workers Party - enlisted trustees in the workers union to spy on and catalogue Communists!

So the Union Representatives chosen by the Co-Workers - Would SPY ON AND REPORT his colleagues - the very same colleagues who had elected him/her to represent them! On the behalf of the Swedish government, Swedish police has illegally detained - basically kidnapped Swedish Citizens and renditioned these citizens to CIA! THESE CITIZENS HAD POLITICAL ASYLUM IN SWEDEN - Refugees from Egypt! CIA - extrodited the Swedish citizens to Egypt, where they were Tortured - Only to have all suspicions dropped and the Egyptian Swedes were returned to SWEDEN!

NO ONE IN THE SWEDISH POLICE OR THE SWEDISH GOVERNMENT HAVE BEEN ARRESTED OR HELD RESPONSIBLE! NOR THE CIA! THIS IS A INTERNATIONAL SCANDAL - WORTHY OF AN INVESTIGATION FROM THE ICC IN den HAGUE!

HOW CAN WE have a participatory democracy if such atrocities are committed in the dark, in secrecy - AND these are only the ones we know about! So this is most probably just the TIP OF THE ICEBERG!

I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT ALL POWER MUST BE DECENTRALISED! That the decisions MUST be made as close to the people who the decision affects - ideally BY the very people who are affected!

I strongly believe in the principle so perfectly described by Abraham Lincoln in the "Gettysburg adress":

"  At the end of the address, Lincoln says that the men who have died at Gettysburg have died to ensure that:

government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.

This is, to some extent, a reference to the Declaration of Independence.  The exact words that Lincoln uses are not in the Declaration, but the idea of democracy clearly is.  When Lincoln talks about government of the people and by the people, he is talking about government that exists by the consent of the governed.  This is part of the Declaration.  When he says that government is for the people, he means that government is created in order to protect the rights of the people.

How can we trust that the government protect the rights of the people and trust them with our consent - when we have concrete evidence of the opposite!

Therefore TRANSPARENCY - TRUTH COMISSIONS must be instated to control the government and the police!

"quis custodiet ipsos custodes" = “Who guards the guards?”, “Who watches the watchers?” -

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? is a Latin phrase found in the work of the Roman poet Juvenal from his Satires (Satire VI, lines 347–348). It is literally translated as "Who will guard the guards themselves?"!

Already some two Millennia ago - there was awareness of these problems!

So Who SHOULD watch the watchers?

I say IDEALLY - US - WE THE PEOPLE!

WE have given this power, so it is our bloody DUTY to make sure that it isn't misused!

If the people elects a government to protect the rights of the people and we give the Police monopoly to use violence against citizens?

THEN IT IS OUR BLOODY DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY FOLLOW THE RULES!

SO THAT THE SO CALLED DEMOCRACY ISN'T A SCAM, A SHAM, A BLUFF! Bread and circuses to keep the people from starting a revolution! Like Noam Chomsky and George Carlin claims that our "Western world democracies are just scams - for profit, to further the Neo-Liberalism agenda"!

Therefore we need Truth commissions, and an agency that answers ONLY To the people and perhaps the United Nations?

A "Citizens Protection Bureau" - to make sure that: Justice, Truth and Egality is actually a TRUTH! AND that NO ONE is above the Law!

A kind of equivalent to the "Internal affairs Investigations of the Police - but for our entire society! A organisation/Bureau that have the tools and abilities to investigate and enforce actions against the societal function committing human rights violations against the people and its individual citizens!

A bit like the ICC in den Haag! The International Criminal Court in Hauge! That investigates Crimes of WAR! I'd love to see a organisation that investigated ALL CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS!

EVERYONE MUST BE EQUAL TO TO THE LAW!

Politicians, Police, Civil Servants, Corporate boards, Billionaires - they can ALL be thrown in jail if they commit crimes against the PEOPLE!

For ME - as I see it! The common denominator - the shared enemy/opponent here is Neo-Liberalism!

BUT! Neo-Liberalism is an idea, an ideology!

How do you fight an idea? Especially when the idea is egoism and greed - that YOU do what is best for YOU! This talks to the weaknesses and darker side of almost all of us!

How can we fight something that resonates with our baser/lower instincts - like survival ≈ hoarding, egoism and self catering!

How do we replace this with "higher ideals", like: Solidarity, Justice, Truth and Egality/Equality? And that the true measure of how civilized a civilization is - is deemed by how we treat our weakest, how we help those who NEED MOST help? How we treat our prisoners? How just, fair and impartial our judicial system is?

THESE TO ME ARE CORE VALUES that I strongly believe is crucial for a well working participatory democracy, where the people TRULY have the Power!

I MYSELF - Due to the beliefs above - believe in collectivism and de-centralised power structures! So according to a "Political compass questionnaire" that I did some time ago - this would define me as an "Anarcho Socialist"! I'm OK with that description! Although I myself would probably previously have described myself as a Egalitarian Humanist! But as I see most of these values covered by BOTH definitions I am fine with both!

SO! Ideally we should start a grassroots movement that grasps over ALL OF THE SUBJECTS ABOVE?

BUT - I know from experience that overreaching results in failure!

Trying to solve ALL OF THE PROBLEMS AT ONCE - usually leads to NONE of the problems being solved at all - it just fizzles out!

SO we MUST START SOMEWHERE!

THIS IS WHY I AM ASKING FOR YOUR HELP!

WHERE DO WE START?

WHAT DO WE NEED TO FOCUS ON FIRST?

OF THESE - WHICH DO YOU SEE AS CAUSE OR EFFECT! Of course we must adress the causes in order to affect the effects and ALSO to get lasting solutions!

I AM ASKING YOU FOR Help!

I need someone to see this with fresh eyes and to ask all the questions that pairs all of this above Down to something simple - short and sweet!

I'm an author - verbose - I use many words!

My beloved Dad would tease me and say that "I was inoculated with a gramophone pin! "!

Help me simplify this and find the core! 

That nugget of truth and meaning!
